The Alabaster House - June 30 2011

It is hard to fathom the depths and riches of God's love that was poured out on the downtown park in Pinckney as worship increased throughout the night. At any one time, 20 to 30 people were caught up in His presence. Cathy explained it like this, "As God breathes in the sweet aroma of our worship, He exhales His Glory." One encounter, a neighborhood woman had been feeling blue all day - she heard the music and came over - sat and worshiped - all her blues were gone.

There was a great mix of God's children there tonight. The next generation of worshipers came tonight and released a true expression of harp and bowl intercession and worship. Prophetic words given tonight will be presented here and on the blog web site soon - most had to do with gates being opened and the Kingdom of God being released into the land (our county and beyond). More details will be provided as they come in via email and FB.

Closing scriptures were: Ezekiel 34:11-16 "For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign LORD. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice."

The Alabaster House - Splinters

Regarding splinters: I just remember that Jesus is a carpenter and he would see a splinter as something to bind and to heal. His view is not our view, and as His back was leaned against the cross, I wonder, "Were there any splinters in that old rugged cross?" Then as His blood saturated the wood, did the wood come to life as Aaron'...s staff did? Sometimes we forget about the cross and its true significance in the scheme of things. He is about the life that comes out of death, and unless we lay our life down, we will never find it. Let whatever hurt that was done in the past be healed in Jesus name, so much that even the scars are gone - after loving Him, we love everyone else - without that love, well you know the rest.

The Alabaster House - Footprints

“Your footprints may not be known. . .” (Psalm 77:19)

Sometimes God can be hard to track.

There are amazing accounts of skilled frontiersmen who knew how to look for “sign”, as it was called. Certain native American warriors were so skilled at tracking that it was nearly impossible to escape their pursuit. It was possible for some to look at footprints and describe the person - - - the “sign” they left told the sign-reader something of their size, weight, age, health; if they were in a hurry or escaping or if they were relaxed and taking their time; if they were injured or desperate.

An alert frontiersman who was not wanting to be found took special care to cover his tracks, literally sweeping over his tracks in the dust, removing all evidence of a camp-fire, restoring ground or grass where they slept, using streams to good advantage to hide an exit point and thus making a new secret path. One clever woodsman strapped elk hooves to his boots to fool the less experienced tracker!

God is not hard to track most of the time. His word makes clear the essentials regarding His nature and purpose. The way to eternal salvation is not difficult to figure out. Principles of wisdom are recorded and a general sense of the future is revealed.

But there are times when His footprints end at a stream and we cannot find where they pick-up on the other side. We begin a search and end-up perplexed. We long for the Shepherd’s voice to provide direction and end up finding the silence to be as pronounced as thunder. We may even cling to promises in the Scripture and wonder why our prayers seem to take so long to be answered.

There are times when God’s ways are simply shrouded in mystery. It seems at these junctures in life that His footprints may not be found.

This kind of trial is intentional from heaven’s point of view. The Lord is “proving” or exposing what is in the heart. Will we keep on tracking or will we give up? Will we allow anxiety to overwhelm us or will we learn to rest and trust Him all the more. Will we learn to cling to His Word when external evidence would point us another way?

The good news is that He does not keep us in such a state for a period longer than we can endure. But after all, endurance is the very thing He is after. “You have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what has been promised” (Hebrews 10:36). Keep on tracking. He loves being searched for and found.

The Alabaster House - June 23rd 2011

The Alabaster House was filled with His presence tonight. Pastor David Potts led worship and Lola supported with her spirit filled violin. The fragrance of Christ was released into the house and into the community. God released prophetic words. Healing was released in the worship. Sickness was routed tonight. God's spirit of Life, His Son came down like sweet Spring rain - a rain that covered not only the church in which we stood, but the entire county was saturated. Thank you Lord for growing our faith and increasing our awareness of what you are doing in this day and time. John 15 opened us up to, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." David opened with "Sweet Hour of Prayer," a confirmation of a word given to Cathy and I last week.

A reminder came tonight, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel - not only in the supernatural sense but for the geographical location. We bless Israel tonight and pray for its peace and protection - reveal your son Father, that all might come to know the true Messiah. This was a good night.

Remember, next week - we will meet in the downtown park gazebo - June 30th - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Come and worship or just to listen to the music.

The Alabaster House - June 9 - 2011

In the midst of struggles and conflict, we sense God passing by on the waves - we cry out, "Lord if that is you, tell me to come to you!" It is in that moment, that the waves become silent and the size of the ocean reduced to nothing at all - The Lord says, "Come to me, come join me here." We slide our legs over the side of the boat with full intent to go to the Lord. We step down, walking as the Lord walks - but then, the roar of the waves and the increase of the storms tempest returns and overwhelms the senses (physical) and you begin to sink. Just before you go under the waves you cry out, "Lord, save me," then a hand from above reaches down and pulls you up. The Lord asks, "Why did you doubt?"

Why do we doubt? The Alabaster House would like to know your heart on this.

The Alabaster House - June 2 - 2011

God's presence entered the Alabaster House tonight. The weight of His glory found rest here and His fragrance was sent out into the community. It was clear from the beginning, that tonight was anointed. The peace and gentleness of the evening came in like a soft breeze and remained with us throughout the night. It was hard for Cathy to close out the worship at the end, even after the final prayer was said - she started up again...joy.

The Bridegroom Comes

Watchfulness
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. Luke 12:35-37
