Psalm 23 Prayer for the Hurting and those in Need

The Lord is the Shepherd, the Provision, and is Sufficient. He is the Green Pasture, the Quiet Waters. He is the Rest and Restoration of souls. He is the Guide on the pathway to Righteousness. He is the Courage to face fear in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. He is the Presence of the Living God. He is the Rod and the Staff - ...the Comfort and the Comforter. He is the Table Prepared in the Presence of His enemies, with the Bread and the Wine, the Body and the Blood of His Son Jesus, the Lamb of God, the Darling of Heaven. He is the Anointing, the Blood the Wine the Water and the Oil. He is the Cup that overflows. He is the Goodness and Mercy that follows day and night. He is the Dwelling Place, the Fortress, Strong Tower, Defender, Healer, Shield, and Much More.

Soaking In His Presence

Soaking Music Calms Your Heart and Allows You to “Be” with God

Posted with permission from Soaking Music (www.thumbpeople.com)

“Soaking in the Spirit” is making a comeback. Often referred to as “waiting on the Lord,” Christians are eager to soak in the messages and learn what God has planned for them. Soaking music is a perfect way to do that. Soaking music, or prayer music, is soothing, calming melodies with healing scriptures read over it. The scriptures are meant for us to mediate upon as we spend time “soaking” in the Spirit and developing a relationship with Christ. Basking in healing scriptures and hearing God’s voice are all part of the soaking music experience. The primary goal of soaking music or prayer music is to rest, both physically and spiritually as we soak in God’s presence allowing the Lord to rejuvenate us. Soaking music can be listened to while lying down and enjoying music that is soft and soothing in nature. Some find hearing God’s voice easier when the music is instrumental while others hear the voice of the Lord through the lyrics of the songs or the healing scriptures being recited. Listening to soaking music should be a relaxing, peaceful, rejuvenating experience. One of my favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31 which reads, “But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They mount up on wings like eagles, they will run not be weary, they will walk and not grow faint.” The concept of waiting on the Lord is not easy for us. We are a society of people who desire things to be done quickly and in our favor. But the Lord wants us to wait for His timing. Learning to be quiet and patient with God is incredibly important in developing a lasting and fruitful relationship with Jesus Christ. Hearing God’s voice through soaking music or reading healing scriptures while listening to prayer music is a perfect opportunity to learn to wait on God. ThumbPeople’s soaking music is filled with words of hope and peace and make hearing God’s voice possible. Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
