The Alabaster House - June 23rd 2011

The Alabaster House was filled with His presence tonight. Pastor David Potts led worship and Lola supported with her spirit filled violin. The fragrance of Christ was released into the house and into the community. God released prophetic words. Healing was released in the worship. Sickness was routed tonight. God's spirit of Life, His Son came down like sweet Spring rain - a rain that covered not only the church in which we stood, but the entire county was saturated. Thank you Lord for growing our faith and increasing our awareness of what you are doing in this day and time. John 15 opened us up to, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." David opened with "Sweet Hour of Prayer," a confirmation of a word given to Cathy and I last week.

A reminder came tonight, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel - not only in the supernatural sense but for the geographical location. We bless Israel tonight and pray for its peace and protection - reveal your son Father, that all might come to know the true Messiah. This was a good night.

Remember, next week - we will meet in the downtown park gazebo - June 30th - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Come and worship or just to listen to the music.

The Alabaster House - June 9 - 2011

In the midst of struggles and conflict, we sense God passing by on the waves - we cry out, "Lord if that is you, tell me to come to you!" It is in that moment, that the waves become silent and the size of the ocean reduced to nothing at all - The Lord says, "Come to me, come join me here." We slide our legs over the side of the boat with full intent to go to the Lord. We step down, walking as the Lord walks - but then, the roar of the waves and the increase of the storms tempest returns and overwhelms the senses (physical) and you begin to sink. Just before you go under the waves you cry out, "Lord, save me," then a hand from above reaches down and pulls you up. The Lord asks, "Why did you doubt?"

Why do we doubt? The Alabaster House would like to know your heart on this.

The Alabaster House - June 2 - 2011

God's presence entered the Alabaster House tonight. The weight of His glory found rest here and His fragrance was sent out into the community. It was clear from the beginning, that tonight was anointed. The peace and gentleness of the evening came in like a soft breeze and remained with us throughout the night. It was hard for Cathy to close out the worship at the end, even after the final prayer was said - she started up again...joy.

“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. Luke 12:35-37

Let the Light shine

Let the Light shine as such, upon the wounds of the past - that they may be healed and your body made new as the Lord renews His word within you. After the repentance comes the forgiveness, that is filled with God's grace and with gentleness He heals that part of you, that was initially broken. His light, His blood, His sacrifice upon the cross brings us all to our knees in humbleness. Keep your eyes fixed on the cross and Christ crucified, that revelation might manifest its Truth.

Our eyes must stay fixed on this cross, silence the sounds of this world and just look. Look at what God has done, "For God so loved the world..." It is possible to be healed in this time and this moment, what He started - He finished there - so that you might be freed.

Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."

Come to Christ and He will set you free. No greater love .... was displayed then that of our God, hung on a tree - pouring out His blood, His life - in moments like these it is the whisper that speaks true, His Spirit calls to you, not to accuse - but simply to tell you, "I love you."

Our Savior

The Dungeon of Doubt

This is an excerpt from Max Lucado's "The Applause of Heaven" and it is recommended that you read the previous chapter 16 "The Dungeon of Doubt."

"Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

This was Jesus' answer to John's agonized query from the dungeon of doubt: "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?"

But before you study what Jesus said, note a couple of things he didn't say.

First, he didn't get angry. He didn't throw up his hands in disgust. He didn't scream, "What in the world do I have to do for John? I've already become flesh! I've already been sinless for three decades. I let him baptize me. What else does he want? go and tell that ungrateful locust eater I am shocked at his disbelief."

He could have done that. (I would have done that.)

But Jesus didn't. Underline that fact: God has never turned away the questions of a sincere searcher. Not Job's nor Abraham's nor Moses' nor John's nor Thomas's nor Max's nor yours.

But note also that Jesus didn't save John. The One who had walked on water could have easily walked on Herod's head, but he didn't. The One who cast out the demons had the power to nuke the king's castle, but he didn't. No battle plan. No SWAT teams. No flashing swords. Just a message--a kingdom message.

"Tell John that everything is gong as planned. The kingdom is being inaugurated."

Jesus' words are much more than a statment from Isaiah. They are the description of a heavenly kingdom being established.

A unique kingdom. An invisible kingdom. A kingdom with three distinct traits." //Lucado, p. 169-170//

1. It is a kingdom where the rejected are received.

2. The dead have life. The grave has no power.

3. The good news is preached to the poor.
